It started with two grandparents

Our grandparents are some of the greatest joys of our lives. They are storytellers, quiet wisdom, and unconditional love. They shaped who we are.

Joyful Generations began with a simple desire: to help families stay connected across generations. We wanted more meaningful conversations. More moments that felt intentional instead of rushed.

But when dementia became part of our story, we struggled to find tools that felt dignified, supportive, and truly person-centered. Everything felt either overly clinical or overly simplistic. Nothing felt like it honored the depth of the person sitting in front of us.

So we created what we couldn’t find.

Meg holds a Master’s degree in Gerontology and has over 10 years of experience teaching and working in aging and dementia care. As a professor and dementia specialist, she has seen firsthand how much connection still matters and how much life is still there even as memory changes.

Joyful Generations exists because we believe this deeply:

Connection doesn’t disappear with memory.

And every generation deserves to feel seen, valued, and loved.
